One hundred years after the beginning of Latrobe Valley coal industry, workers and communities in Gippsland are preparing for a new energy system .The short film-documentary Power On tells the story of the incredible energy transformation happening across Gippsland, where renewable energy is creating new economic opportunities for the region. Through inspiring and heartfelt interviews and with workers, new businesses and community leaders you will hear about how regional communities are leading the energy transformation.
The Power On film is just the beginning - after our first two premiere's in the Latrobe Valley and Naarm (Melbourne), we will be opening up the film for community screenings so you can be part of championing renewable energy and sparking conversations in your own community.

Power On is an impact production by documentary Ellen Burbidge presented by Friends of the Earth's Yes2Renewables Project, filmed on the unceded lands of the Gunaikurnai and Bunurong People, and edited and produced on the lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nations.
